Your Involvement Supports MS

MS does live here in Brant County. In fact, three people are diagnosed every day with MS in Canada. It is diagnosed usually between the ages of 15 to 40, during the career & family building years. Multiple Sclerosis is an unpredictable, often disabling disease of the central nervous system - the brain and the spinal cord.
The mission of the MS Society is to be a leader in finding a cure for multiple sclerosis and enabling people affected by MS to enhance their quality of life.
Research has proved that there are treatments for some types of Multiple Sclerosis; there is evidence myelin can and does regrow spontaneously which indicates repair is possible; key modules responsible for initiating the abnormal immune system have been identified; there is an understanding that both genetic and environmental factors are important in the cause of MS and that Multiple Sclerosis is a costly disease because it lasts a lifetime.
Donations help the many in need of services and equipment. Funds are also required for research in the quest for a cure. Together we can win the fight against Multiple Sclerosis.
